Manages the Development, System Administration, and DataBase Administration teams for the WorldWide Dolby ERP systems. Provide Technical leadership for the ERP application suite.
This includes developing customizations, bolt-on applications, interfaces, and conversions, change control, development/test/production environment strategy and deployment, installations, upgrades, patch management, database monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and general support of the infrastructure.

Designs databases and applications, develops applications, and manages the design/integration of these systems within the ERP system and legacy applications.

Has an expert level technical understanding of ERP applications, integration tools, development tools, data warehousing tools, portals, and system administration tools.
Has a high level functional understanding of PeopleSoft Finance, CRM, HR, and Supply Chain applications.

Essential Job Functions:

Manages selected IT staff and consulting staff:

-  ERP application development

-  ERP system administration

-  ERP database and data warehouse administration

-  Establishes project plans, priorities, and schedules

-  Monitors performance against the plans

-  Develops and maintains application development standards

-  Enforces change control policy

Design and develop applications:

-  ERP interfaces

-  ERP customizations

-  ERP bolt on applications

-  Coordinate with other developers and IT managers on application development and deployment

-  Work with the ERP Business Analyst and others to proactively find simple, effective methods to meet requirements of the Dolby departments worldwide, assisting in the evaluation of trade-offs and improvements in business applications.

-  Lead and coordinate key data design projects across all offices.

-  Maintain project work plans and meet development time schedules.

Manage environments and standards for ERP applications:

-  Researches new development tools, prototyping methods and develop and testing techniques.

-  Work to maintain and scale current PeopleSoft development, test, and production environments

-  Keeps up to date with PeopleSoft environment, tools and developments.

-  Reviews other programmer/analysts code for compliance with coding standards.

-  Assist developers by providing templates and enforcing standards.

Backup Support for primary staff:

-  System Administration

-  DataBase Administration

-  Design and Development

Continuous Improvement:

-  Maintain proactive link with user and technical community worldwide. Serve as a primary PeopleSoft technical contact and catalyst for improvement, introduction of improved technologies and methods.

-  Continually monitor roadmap and new modules available for the ERP applications. Evaluate and assess new modules, upgrades and 3rd party options for technical and functional suitability for Dolby departments and end users. Review, evaluate and participate in planning for upgrades, new software, and improvements.

Requirements:

-  College degree required.

-  PeopleSoft coursework certifications.

-  6 years of previous experience as an ERP technology specialist.

-  Excellent analytical skills.

-  Project Management skills.

-  Working knowledge of MS Project.

-  Knowledge of Intel based PC systems.

-  Excellent understanding of Windows 2000.

-  Working knowledge of the MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

-  Familiarity with Windows NT networking environment.

-  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-  Strong PeopleSoft programming languages and tools.

-  MS/ SQL Server 2000, TSQL.

-  MS Windows Server platforms 2000 and 2003.

-  Developing in multi tier environments.

-  MS networking concepts.

-  Windows, Office, Outlook, Exchange.
