Job Duties:

 

• Switchgear Design Engineer, Medium Voltage


• Candidate must be well versed in the design of low/medium voltage switchgear (5 kV – 38 kV) and associated control circuits including layout, component selection, bill of material, electrical (1-line, 3-line) diagrams and control wiring diagrams. The candidate must also be familiar with UL 1558 / ANSI 37.20 design guidelines.


• The candidate must also be familiar with UL 891 / UL 1558 design guidelines.


• Must have worked in a switchgear manufacturing environment.


• Design experience in paralleling switchgear and / or automatic transfer switches an added plus. UL / CSA certification and testing experience is also highly desirable.


• Must perform technical review of new projects with sales / marketing group, discuss with customers / consultants to resolve any technical issues in parts / specifications / drawings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Must be well versed in the design of low/medium voltage switchgear and associated control circuits including layout, component selection, bill of material,

Electrical (diagrams and control wiring diagrams).

 

Must be familiar with UL design guidelines, UL/CSA certification and testing experience is also desirable.

• BSEE and proficiency AUTOCAD and other design programs and MS office required.


• Experience in a manufacturing environment necessary.


• Good oral and written communication skills.


• Strong career history
